The meditation/ contemplation nuance was interesting for me - Thomas Keating speaks to that beautifully also in the book Intimacy with God.  He speaks of the &quot;Divine Therapy&quot; (&#039;healing of emotional wounds ... and our mechanisms for coping with them&#039;) which can come about as we become present in centering prayer.  It reminds me of the &#039;healing of memories&#039; experience in the charismatic renewal in the 70&#039;s and 80&#039;s.  Peace, Dot</description>
